Computer Hardware

The year was 1974. Most people were talking about Richard Nixon’s resignation or Linda Blair’s head spinning in the blockbuster movie, “The Exorcist.” That same year, Muhammad Ali captured the world’s stage when he regained the heavyweight boxing title from George Foreman. If you’re of a certain age, you’ll never forget the “Rumble in the Jungle.” What most people weren’t talking about in 1974 was the invention of the internet and the manufacturing of the first personal computer, “The Altair.” It wasn’t that our priorities were messed up... at least not entirely, we just didn’t feel the seismic shifts that were happening beneath our feet.

Few would disagree that the exponential growth of technology has caused revolutionary changes in the ways that we live, work and play. So how do we define this reality? According to Merriam-Webster, technology is “the use of science in industry, engineering, etc., to invent useful things or to solve problems.” In simple terms, the physical computer hardware and devices that your business relies upon also enable you to “solve problems” and “do useful things.” Pardon the pun, but that’s the real head turner we should have been talking about in 1974.

Configuring Computer Hardware

Configuring your computer hardware correctly is vitally important if you want your technology to operate smoothly... or simply to prevent you from grabbing a sledgehammer. Do yourself a favor before that happens call SUURV. We specialize in configuring all types of hardware—the physical components that make up a computer or device. In addition, please understand that choosing the best hardware solutions for your business operations can be tricky. It is for most. The number of options to consider is truly overwhelming.

From our experience, most questions we receive from businesses center around hardware upgrades. In the beginning, the inner NERD in us would get overly excited and share everything about the super-cool hardware they might purchase for their business. No kidding! But we’ve learned our lesson and realize that most business owners would rather handwash their laundry, outside and in the dark, than listen to us GEEK out. Today, all our geeks are chill geeks.

Bottom line, we love what we do, and we know the right hardware for your environment and budget. And if you’re still reading at this point, we hope that we made you smile. Let us know when you call.
